New This Week |
Rector search update – Due to vacation schedules and a procedural issue that has come up, the vestry is not ready to name the full search committee at this time. We are assured by Canon Catherine Massey from the diocese that we have adequate time to do our search. We are actually ahead of schedule, so this slight delay is not a problem. We will provide an update as soon as possible. “Coffee Talk” with Your Treasurer! Do you have any burning financial questions you want to discuss with your parish treasurer? If yes, please join Julia Hoyle in the Kramer Room directly after church for each Sunday in August. Bring your coffee and bring your questions! Copies of the 2022 budget will be available along with the very popular Capital Reserves worksheet. Your treasurer promises not to become “verklempt” 😉 by your questions so ask away! See you then! The door codes have changed for the south entrance (nearest the office) and Johnson Hall. (the north entrance lock has a loose wire and needs to be repaired before we can enter the new codes) Please contact E. June Santa or Kathy Barnes if you need to have the new door codes. October 9-14 are the days to drop off all of your treasures to the Fall Fling! The Fling will be held on October 15, 2022, along with our Pumpkin Patch. This fundraiser, which supports our community outreach, also provides opportunities for fellowship with other St. Lukers as well as members of the Durham Community! Email Joan Hodges or Lisa D’Amico for questions or volunteer opportunities. See you there! |

Calling all ushers (or would be ushers): There will be an usher training for all current, past, soon to be ushers (or anyone interested in learning what an usher is responsible for) on August 7, immediately following the service. We will review all worship (bring elements to the altar, etc.), communion, and emergency protocols at this time. Bring a friend! |

Please be advised that the clergy will never ask for help, gift cards, etc. through emails or text messages. There have been more bogus texts being received. CONTACT UPDATES – Up-to date contact information can be found online at ACS, or the ChurchLife App for your phone or tablet. Contact Kathy if you have any problems logging onto ACS. You can also ask Kathy to send you a paper directory if needed. |
