Pumpkin Patch, open 7 days a week, October 3-31
Our annual Pumpkin Patch gets the community excited about fall, with its great variety of carving pumpkins, baking pumpkins, heirloom varieties, and decorative gourds! Opening on October 3 at 1:00 pm, the Patch will be open seven days a week through October 31, 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm Sundays through Fridays, and 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays. On opening day, we’ll have face painting at 1:00. Come wander the patch, grab a family photo while you’re here, and maybe enjoy pumpkin painting! Your purchase supports not only St. Luke’s, but the Navajo Nation in New Mexico which grows the pumpkins, and also St. Luke’s outreach assistance in the Durham community.
Trunk or Treat!, October 31, 5:30-7:00 pm

Pre-owned Christmas Decorations Sale, November 7, 7:00 am to Noon
This annual event is a yard sale just for Christmas! We always have an amazing variety of gently used ornaments, artificial trees, wreaths, gift wrap, themed decor, collectibles, tableware, and more. Bargains await!
Local Pilgrimage: St. Barbara Orthodox Church, November 14, 10:00 – noon
Fr. Stavroforos, priest of St. Barbara Orthodox Church in Durham, invites us to an ecumenical tour of this landmark Byzantine-style domed church in Durham. A special highlight of the tour will be the church’s stunning new iconography, recently installed in the central dome and apses. The central dome features the Pantocrator (“All-Powerful”), depicting Christ holding the Gospels in the act of blessing and teaching. The eastern apse depicts the Virgin Mary as the Platytera ton ouranon (“She who is wider than the heavens”), seated on a throne with the Christ Child in her lap, flanked by the Archangels Michael and Gabriel — their images seeming to hover between heaven and earth. Carpool from St. Luke’s or proceed to St. Barbara on your own.
