Children in Church

Children of all ages are welcome and present at all of our worship services.  A crying baby does not present a problem (except sometimes to the parents!).   Some families find that their youngest children are more comfortable in the nursery, staffed by our long time staff member, Miss Carol, as well as by volunteers. The nursery is for infants through three year olds.

Children are encouraged to attend Sunday morning church services as soon as they and their parents feel comfortable.  Children as young as 4 are also welcome to attend Children's Chapel during the first half of the service (which includes the readings and sermon).  Children's Chapel gathers in Johnson Hall from 10:20 until 11:10.  After chapel, the children join the rest of the congregation in the church for the offertory and Communion.

St. Luke's has occasional worship services that especially include children.  These "come as you are" events are designed with all ages in mind.
