The Fifth Station: The Cross is laid on Simon of Cyrene

Positioned around the perimeter of the nave are St. Luke’s 14 Stations of the Cross. These ceramic panels were designed and created by the late Warren Acheson, a local artist and member of St. Luke’s. They represent in an abstract way the traditional 14 stations depicting the series of events in Christ’s Passion.

Good Friday services:

Noon, with traditional liturgy;

6:00 pm, “Women of the Cross”. In this service, we walk the Stations together, with meditations at each one read by women in the roles of Biblical women who experienced a relationship with Jesus.
