New This Week
SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS
We received great initial response to funding Share Your Christmas for the Families and Maple Court Veterans, but we need more donors to help meet our goal. Remember the deadline to donate towards gift cards is Wednesday, December 16.

Have you visited our Share Your Christmas web page at https://stlukesdurham.org/alternative-gift-fair-and-share-your-christmas/ ? There you will find more information about the Families and Maple Court residents who need gift cards, plus links to the organizations you have always donated to during this event: LEAP, Ronald McDonald House, and the Animal Protection Society of Durham.

ALTERNATIVE GIFTS FAIR
We have 21 partner agencies and groups linked on the Alternative Gift Fair web page at  https://stlukesdurham.org/alternative-gift-fair-and-share-your-christmas/.
Under the Education category are two that are near and dear to us: our own St. Luke’s Youth Group, which has been unable to hold its usual fundraisers this year, and our Holy Cross School in Belize Feeding and Scholarship programs.
Other categories on the page where you can find AGF guests from prior years include Housing and Food, Mental and Physical Health, Social Justice, and International.

HOUSEHOLD DONATIONS NEEDED
Our friend Linda is moving into her apartment but has nothing.  We are still looking for:  Microwave, Kitchen table and 4 chairs, Living room chairs, sofa, lamps, bed and bedside tables, set of glasses, a few pots and pans, towels and more.  If you can help with any of these, please contact Jan Freeman at jansweetchpa@gmail.com THANKS!

DID YOU KNOW?. . . WE HAVE BLOGS!
With the launch of St. Luke’s new web site earlier this year, we gained the ability to allow Rector Helen and other staff to directly share thoughts and information they want you to have. In addition to the weekly Rector’s Blog, where Helen shared stories of parishioners’ generosity in her latest post, Rev. Laura has a Family Ministry Blog, with a new entry posted this week, and Kaye has a Music Ministry Blog. You can see a digest of the most recent posts either on our home page or by visiting https://stlukesdurham.org/blog-history/ , or by using the Blogs entry in the top menu of our site.

Everything is a little different this year–our annual Jingle Bell LEAP fundraiser will be virtual.  Please register to participate then run, walk or stroll 3.1 miles (5k) any time between Dec 5-12th and our kids will win!  No time to run or walk?  Be a S-LEAPr and make a donation.
