Virtual SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS – help us meet our goal Instead of shopping for and wrapping gifts ourselves this year, we will buy gift cards for our Share Your Christmas Families, and Maple Court Veterans. We are off to a great start of $1,700 toward our goal of $3,600, but with our December 16 deadline not far off, we need to keep up the pace to help the 70 people on our list. Families on our Share Your Christmas list have experienced an economic catastrophe this year and are in desperate need of funds for food, clothing, toys and household goods. Visit our web page at https://stlukesdurham.org/alternative-gift-fair-and-share-your-christmas/ for information on how to donate through ACS, Paypal, or by check. Virtual ALTERNATIVE GIFT FAIR- our local partners need your donations This year, we encourage you to make donations directly to the organizations we traditionally support at our Alternative Gift Fair. Included in this year’s Fair is Episcopal Relief and Development’s 1,000 Days of Love campaign, for which we will track our congregation’s donations. More information with links to all these partners is on our web site at https://stlukesdurham.org/alternative-gift-fair-and-share-your-christmas/ Please share the above link (corrected from last week) with your family and friends and encourage them to join you in giving this Christmas. ADVENT CALENDARS AND MEDITATIONS Did you miss the All Things Advent pick-up? We still have some supplies to share! Drive by St. Luke’s at any time, park under the breezeway, and pick up a manila envelope which includes calendars/meditations. If you need some greens for your Advent Wreath, take some of the trimmings from the other box. #ADVENTWORD Consider participating in #ADVENTWORD, a daily practice to reflect on a single word each day. You can journal, make art, or post a picture about this word. Upcoming words are: Dec 4 Fellowship Dec 5 Glory Dec 6 Speak Dec 7 Comfort Dec 8 Patient Dec 9 Mercy Dec 10 Baptize Dec 11 Word Dec 12 Honey |
