2021 PLEDGE UPDATE The Every Member Canvass campaign is going well with 38 increased pledges and 2 new pledges! So far more than half who have pledge committed to increase their pledge for next year. -Pledges received through 10/28 total $248,460 -71 households have pledged Reminder that we need your pledge by Nov 8. Please either leave a message on the office phone, e-mail Kathy, or mail/hand deliver your pledge card. Thank you for your faith filled generosity, and be well! WATCH ON YOUTUBE Our worship services can now be seen on YouTube! St. Luke’s new YouTube channel,St. Luke’s Durham Worship and Music, is up and running and contains videos of our Sunday morning worship as well as some St. Luke’s music videos. Each week’s service is available for viewing on Sunday mornings and can be seen anytime thereafter. (Weekly sermons are still accessible through our website and Facebook page.) We have over 100 subscribers to our new page! A search with “St. Luke’s Durham” should bring up the page, or you can go there directly. Be sure and subscribe and “like” (thumbs up) the channel or individual videos, and feel free to leave comments. CORRECTION This year’s bishop visit will be on November 8th. The date was incorrect in the Vestry Reflection. |

REQUEST VESTRY BALLOT NOW We encourage you to vote for vestry using an absentee ballot. Each voter/household must request a ballot by e-mail or call the office. Vote for up to 4 candidates. Completed PRINTED ballot and attestations must be received before 10am on Fr, Nov 6th. You can mail with sufficient time or drop in the church mailbox (end of the drive between Johnson Hall/Sprague Room). Members who register and attend in-person worship on Nov 8th should vote at worship, not before. GROUNDS AND GARDEN WORK DAY Come one, come all! The final St. Luke’s 2020 Grounds & Gardens Workday is Saturday, November 7th from 8:30 until 10:00. There is something for everyone, whether it’s clearing leaves from the labyrinth, cleaning the Memorial walls, deadheading the huge Lantanas or gazing with wonder at our blooming Yuletide Sasanqua Camellias. (Yes, the two shrubs by the Sprague doors are covered in blooms!) Please bring hand pruners and long handle pruners if you have them. HOLDING ONTO HOPE Presiding Bishop Curry will lead a Holding Onto Hope prayer service from Washington National Cathedral at 4pm this Sunday November 1st, All Saints Day.
